Week 36 - ITF ($10K) - Madrid, Spain Hard

Fitzparick/Windley (GBR) beat Sanchez/Garcia (ESP) 1-6 6-0 [10-8]  winner.gif

From 4-8 down in the tie break Anna and Jade won 6 points in a row to take the match.

A bit of a roller coaster match!

Jo handed out 7 bakery products in 10 sets this week and with 4 games, Lisa was her most successful opponent.

I hope that display of utter ruthlessness doesn't mean she's going to remain an Aussie after all ...

Big bully, go back and play with the big girls, Jo   wink

As LordBrownof said, it may have been to do with getting in a good string of matches and possibly testing any fitness issues she was possibly concerned about.

Anyway, a very efficient week  smile

I spoke to Jo at Wrexham and she gets her passport in October, so sometime next month when the weekly rankings come out her name should appear with GBR after it.

Hopefully Jo can overcome the niggly thigh strain problems she gets and get her ranking up to where it belongs top 150 bare minimum.
