30 pts (+10 net as she had 20 to defend). You don't get the 5 R1 loser points if you are a qualifier.

That's unlikely now - I don't think there are enough WTA tournaments left to get that many points that quickly.

Quite an ask for this year ( though would be great ! ) but certainly not for the first half of next year.

Her updated points on Monday week, prior to the Osaka tournament will be 486

That's made up of :

Remainder of 2010 16 ( 1 tournament - Osaka last year )

2011 - pre Wimbledon 74 ( 7 tournaments )

2011 - Wimbledon on 396 ( 7 tournaments incl. 100 from Wimbledon & 160 from the US Open )

Total 486 ( currently equaivalent to WR 135 )

To get into the top 100 you generally need about 700 points from 16 counting tournaments with the current 100th ranked woman on 690 ranking points.

So, as I say very difficult this year, but she will be looking I imagine to get into the top 100 as soon as possible during the first half of nest year, and hope to include good points from the Aussie and / or French Opens.

The Beeb has lived up to it's negative reports of Robbo. It just says she got knocked out in R1, nothing about getting a WC into qualies, or the people she's just beaten, or that she's had to play so many matches to get there in the last few days.

Blimey, no wonder the British tennis players don't seem to do well with that amount of negativity to deal with.

To be fair, they did report her qualifying too.

Edit: at least they did yesterday - it's gone now. I think they must be updating the same article for the duration of a tournament instead of starting a new one for each round, which leaves you with just the defeats when you look back at the history of the articles.

Was away at the weekend without internet. Beeb did manage to report that Laura qualified, and then also her loss, so I was rather impressed with them!
A good week for Laura I think. More points, and steadily building up the total. Keep it up!!

All I had was ceefax, so I can understand the reports coming off fairly quickly, but you'd think they'd leave the online ones up for a bit longer.
