It's a very strong looking draw for a WTA international with Rus is actually only the 8th qualifying seed.  

Actually the WTA are generally much more generous than the ATP with ranking points in qualifying.

Tremndous looking win for Naomi. Rus may not have been great recently on hard courts but she's still a very good player and I remember being impressed watching part of her win against Clijsters at the French Open.

If she wins she will play Barthel who squeaked home 7-5 in the 3rd against Meusburger

Meanwhile in the main draw Bally plays 7th seed Dominika Cibulkova (WR22) for the first time
