Good win for Anne - certainly a case of saving her best for when it matters after yesterday!

Having lost her last 5 matches, I get the feeling Makarova may have played the 2nd set as if defeat was inevitable, but still a great scalp for Anne (Makarova is WR 53, top 30 as recently as June) - she'll probably play Jankovic next.

Points defeneded indeed. Its the Luxembourg semi points to defend next week that I am worried about. Luxembourg seems a lot stronger this year than last.

When is the cut off for Oz Open? Losing the Luxembourg points would prob put her outside the top 108.
