Nice that the three are separated. Anne and Heather should make final qualifying at least with their draws. Naomi's opponent moved rapidly into the top 100 as a teenager, but has been unable to sustain that form and plays mainly on clay. If successful her second match will be tricky but winnable.
Pretty tough qualifying in this tournament, normally Anne and Heather would be in the main draw with their rankings. In fact the Kremlin Cup qualifying draw looks no harder despite being a Premier event.
Anne played Kutzunova in 2008 and lost in 3. At the time Anne was ranked 75 and Kutzenova 155. Kutzenova's career high of 76 was reached in 2005 she is now 529. Heather and Kiki are both 19 and close to their career highs. Karin Knapp reached a career high of 35 in 2008.
