Looks like Heather hasn't fully recovered from her injury - otherwise 5 consecutive service losses indoors to someone who hasn't beaten a top 100 player this year (did in 2010 though) is shocking

something dreadfully wrong with heather's serve today. it's not the strongest even on her best day, so when it's below par, it's even more difficult. or her opponent could just be playing a blinder of course.

H2H 1-0 - JG won in 2008 but of course Elena upset her 2-6 7-5 7-6(2) in that memorable match at Grapevine two months ago.

Meanwhile, back in the qualifying carnage, Anne got broken serving for the set, lost the next two games as well to lose it 7-5, broke at the start of the 2nd but Kutuzova broke back immediately.
