Minella was the only one of the opponents in the original four Q slots whom Anne had a positive H2H against (2-0, both in straight sets, 2005 and 2009), though Minella hit a career hgh 121 last week having beaten Tanasugarn to reach the Final of the Kofu 50K two weeks ago. so she is in good form.

As I hinted at before, I'm not at all surprised to see Hradecka in as a lucky loser, but even if it does make the end of the 2nd set today a bit suspect, anything that keeps Anne on a roll has to be a good thing and it's good poetic justice to see the Q get the best draw and the LL the worst
