At least Laura seems to be winning her service games more easily 4-3*. The couple of points that Sky have shown show Laura coming up with a few sloppy errors.
Unfortunately fears that Laura might struggle today after yesterday proved to be correct. Sounds like she made a few too many errors against an opponent who was serving well.
Were the foot blisters a hindrance ? or is this further proof that Laura struggles to maintain her level day after day in a tournament ? Needs to improve on that next year. It just looked to me that the focus wasn't there today, too many soft errors.
Still been a strong end to the year, and with a good offseason in Las Vegas, surely its only a matter of time before she breaks into the top 100.

I thnk that often when Laura makes errors during a rally it is because she doesn't get the footwork right any over-relies on her excellent hand eye co-ordination, meaning she plays too many shots from awkward positions. Certainly if moving was causing her some pain today, and if she was a bit tired from yesterday that would have made her footwork worse.
Hopefully Anne will give us at least one GB semi-finalist - I'm feeling quite confident about this one (even more so now she's 2-0 up!)
