Bally should dispose of Linette alright ( Hev's regular junior doubles partner from way back when). Seems to be on a bit of mission this week, to end the season on a high after a difficult post Wimby period. Anne's top performances over the last few weeks providing further incentive no doubt.
Last seed left, no pressure Bally! Pretty sure a win here would see her return to top 50... anyone able to confirm this?
If Bally wins the title she would get 140 points against the 36 she has already collected. On the update table produced by The BoiledEgg that would move Bally up to 48.

If thats not an incentive I'm not sure what is. I've noticed recently in various places (including WTA website) that Anne has been described as arguably the best British player for 20 years and/or 6 (now 7) times WTA tour semi-finalist. So to match Anne's career high and then push on from there beginning of next year might go some way to Bally being recognised for her achievements too. She has done better at slams than Anne but in tour events no denying Anne has had more success, whereas Bally hasn't made a semi yet.
