I really do hope today doesn't end with all 4 teams having won one match.
Would make tomorrow a bit of a lottery. OK, each team would have to win their own match, but then they'ed still be totally dependant on who wins the other match.
Head to Head grr

Clearly, if we beat Israel we are through to the play-off.
However, the Portugal win today has also given us a fall-back.
If we lose to Israel, but BOTH win one match in the tie AND Portugal beat Netherlands, we will go through.
This will be because we would be equal with Israel and Portugal on ties won ( two ), but would beat both on matches won ( six for us, which neither would match )

Looking to get the win here and very likely then set up a group decider vs Israel.
But if not, every match and set could ultimately count. We'd want to keep it to 1 - 2. And in sets from the opening ties, we had the best winner's set result we could ( 6 - 0 ) whilst the Dutch had the best loser's result they could have got ( 4 - 4 ).
If the worst case scenario happens and we actually lose this match, its not a complete disaster as it will still just mean that we have to beat Israel tomorrow. Obviously it won't help our confidence levels, but still. Israel also ahead in their 2 match against Portugal, which I was hoping Portugal might take forcing Israel into playing both Peer and Glushko in a deciding doubles tie.
