Also although Sweden were through yesterday and they didn't play their best players today, they still started at the same time as we did so I cant see one match in the morning and the other at night as it wouldn't be fair, also they have Radwanska which might mean they get Centre court?? We will find out soon :)

Pe'er is clearly hurt....wish she would walk up to the net and shake hands....just to save Bally some juice....hopefully Bally can wrap this up quick.

Austrian #1 Tamira Paszek WR 48 doesn't look to be in good form. Their results vs. Austria:

T. VOROBJOVA lost to P. MAYR-ACHLEITNER 0-6 0-6
A. KONTAVEIT def. T. PASZEK 6-4 7-6(3)
A. KONTAVEIT / T. VOROBJOVA lost to S. KLEMENSCHITS / T. PASZEK 4-6 4-6

Anett Kontaveit is WR 588s/986d and Vorobjova WR UNRs/896d and Sandra Klemenschits is WR 82 in doubles.

Her scoreline against Pironkova was more respectable, but still a loss

P. MAYR-ACHLEITNER def. E. KOSTOVA 6-3 6-3
T. PASZEK lost to T. PIRONKOVA 3-6 6-1 1-6
P. MAYR-ACHLEITNER / Y. MEUSBURGER def. D. EVTIMOVA / T. PIRONKOVA 6-1 6-2

There's a morning match and a afternoon match both being streamed live.

Assuming they do play the dubs, without Peer this should a virtual walkover for the Brits.

Im guessing no one will know for sure but do both the promotion playoffs matches start at the same time, if not do you think both will be streamed or will they show Israel??

I would guess both promotion play-offs will be on the main court.  They have had early and late sessions all week.  Hope so and that they are streamed.

I don't know though.

Also, I'm not sure if Israel will be playing.  I think the 2nd and 3rds in groups do play-off for final positions, but I'm not sure ?

There can't be a meaningfull play-off for 2nd/3rd place - what does "best of the teams who were 2nd in groups A/C" mean? It doesn't give you a placing against the teams who were 2nd in groups B/D.

Actually, I've just checked last year, because I had a feeling...smile

And indeed, we finshed 2nd in our group and did play-off ( and beat ) Croatia, who were second in their group.  From reading the 2011 thread, evidently such play-offs do count for Fed Cup rankings in some way.

So, if it's still the same, the 2nd and 3rd teams in groups will play again.

Anne and Bally are racking up those wins on the all-time list.

Looking back at their record they do deserve so much credit for their tireless effort for the cause over so many years.

The tie is 2-0 now. Both of our girls won the singles.
