I love Bally and her fighting spirit and she was the star of getting us to this stage. But I do feel with her performances this year and recent injury and the fact the court surface is ridiculously slow. I personally would have put in Hev to play as she is better suited and is playing well.
But hopefully, Elena can fight her way back into this match.

Bally got an early break in set 2, but was broken back immediately. Had further breakpoints unconverted, before losing focus in game 11. Larsson broke to 15 and held to 15 for the match 6-1 7-5

ahh i do feel sorry for Bally as she left the court crying but that was pretty poor from her. But hopefully Anne can get us back in this.

Fair point, though I think Judy had to start with Bally given her talismanic role and much greater experience. Given the argument you make in favour of Heather, I expect her to come in on day 2.

Yeah I will be dissapointed if Bally plays tomorrow, I just think her match up against Sofia under these circumstances are not well suited and that was shown in today's game.

Anne broke in the opening game, only to lose the next 6. She went down an early break in set 2, retrieved it for 3-3 only to be broken again. However she has just broken back for a second time

yes I do wonder if she might put one of them in for the singles. We'll have to see

I think more might be gained from giving both Heather and Laura a go in the singles tomorrow. It's unlikely we will win both singles with Elena and Anne so why not take a gamble and give the two younger players experience of playing on their own in front of a partisan crowd.

apparently Heather has a slight foot injury which won't stop her playing the doubles, but she won't play singles (from Jonathan Overend on twitter)

Apparently Hev has a ankle injury and has been ruled out of singles but can play doubles (a bit odd) but talk is that Laura will play agaisnt Sofia which in my opinion isnt a great match up but who knows, I dont think Elena has a shot at Sofia tomorrow so yeah play Laura.
