Looks a decent effort from Bally and probably not the worst time for a rain break.

At worst, Bally effectively going to have to win a new match in straight sets with the bonus of Pennetta left to stew, serving at MP,  5 - 4  40 - 30,  so Bally will just look to get ready for that first point and see if she can take it from there.

Bally got a look at a 2nd serve on that set point but to no avail and eventually went down 4 & 2.

The stats suggest Pennetta's return of the 1st serve was the main difference.

Pennetta just destroyed Vesnina 2&1. Puts Ballys performance in perspective
