Difficult conditions

P holds *0-1

H lovely drop shot then pass for 15-15 Good wrong-footing bh from H for 40-30. P fh lands just wide for 1-1* H doing ok but perhaps not attacking on a consistent basis.

Sliced bh causes P trouble for 15-15 then a df for 15-30. H nets a return for 40-30. P's aggressive fh is too good *1-2

df. P agg return out 15-15 Nice angle on bh cc from H forces error 30-15 H nets a fh 40-30. P aggressive return of a 2nd serve is out 2-2

Standard of play fluctuating wildly in the wind. Neither player quite sure whether to attack or play safe. H tends towards safe while P far more aggressive.

P 30-0 then another bizarre point at the net. Stream not clear enough tp know exactly what happened but it was horrible from her reaction and caused a meltdown as P dfs then gifts H the break with a wild fh. *3-2

Comfortable hold to love for H 4-2*

P holds to 15 *4-3

P throws her arms up in despair as a fh fails to find the court 5-3*

df for 0-30 then unret serve 15-30 P fh ue 15-40 H breaks to take the set 6-3 P looking frustrated with the number of shots missing the target.

Yes, very difficult conditions again. I got the impression Pironkova was hitting the ball a lot harder while Hev was running a lot faster, but more of her shots were going out than you would usually expect, perhaps because of the wind. As a result (and as you noticed yesterday), she was playing it a bit too safe at times and allowing Pironkova to take control.

Having said that, Hev won more points than Pironkova in the 1st set and came from a set down to win the last time they played.
