Well done to Laura, seems to have been in blasting good form

Certainly, she seems to have been in general command and the tightness of the score to do with these two breaks that seem to have come from nothing, but that's tennis, it's games and sets that count, and you don't want to let up at any point. I guess the first break was the first game of the match so that's much more understandable.
Anyway, a 6 - 3 6 - 4 women's match completed in under an hour doesn't suggest there were many huge rallies going on
Pity about Naomi. Riske was a tough opponent to meet, but I still thought beatable if Naomi was at her best. Looks as if again the serve wasn't functioning as well as she would like, which is major weaponlike. Also, rather disappointing how the 3rd set went away like that, which is very unlike Naomi's very competitive win and lose matches of late.

For anyone who didn't see Laura's first round match, it is available on the Australian Open Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/australianopentv#p/l/0/XxdWTJx8VRY
A shame Naomi couldn't stay in the match after such a good start but was always a tough ask against Riske.
Thanks for the link. Thought Laura played well overall though she could have done with a few more first serves when trying to finish off the match.
