Well a nice relaxing early morning watching Laura suddenly turned into very nervy viewing but at least she got there in the end.
I wonder if thoughts entered Laura's mind that she might suffer the embarrassmeny of losing from a set and 5-0 and serving at 40-0.
I don't think so - she seemed to be completely in control, just appeared to lose concentration a bit (as she said in her interview), Oudin noticed, relaxed a bit and found some form.
I was a bit worried Oudin was intent on 'doing a Viola' though!

Laura certainly didn't look at all rusty in that match. Her preparation has obviously been 'spot on'. She looked slimmer and fitter and was really moving well at times. However, 'same old' 'same old' with the concentration going and the monologues cranking up. She said at the end she was 'lucky' to get through. Well, perhaps she was, but her talent and improved fitness also helped. On reflection, perhaps if this match had been as easy as it looked it was going to be, it would not have been such good preparation for later, tougher matches.
