After the match Laura said that due to only starting hitting in earnest because of the injury last week her expectations were low going in here.
In normal circumstances I wouldn't see 'The Florist ' causing her any problems ( basically an exposed jorneywoman with limited ability to beat the better players at this level) but given Laura's rustiness I don't rule out an upset here. Whereas Laura was a good bet today the extremely short odds on offer aginst Floris are not very appealing. As I highlighted in a previous post Dolonts was upset by Bertens ( made me a few quid ) and assuming she wins will give Laura a very stern test in the FQR.
The Dutch Fed Cup team strating to look very strong with Schoofs top performance as well.

Naomi got the important win today, but will find it very tough against an in form Riske. Still though nothing to lose and if at her best is certainly capable of an upset.

Great wins for the girls hope they can keep it up tomorrow! Maybe rustiness crept in when Laura was trying to close out, and let's not forget that young American girls are known for fighting tooth and nail until the bitter end - perhaps that's why Naomi had a struggle too.
