That was a really gutsy performance from Andy. It can't be easy to play when you feel very sick and can't drink your fluids - especially in the Miami heat. I'd like some of those magic pills the doc gave him, though!
That is a shame, I hope Rafa has a speedy recovery.
It must be quite unusual for a player to get to the final of a tournament with two walkovers - any of the stats people out there want to tell me how unusual?

Now, what was it I wrote on here as soon as Andy had lost in the first round at Indian Wells, in response to a torrent of pained "has Andy lost it?" posts?
Oh, I know, it was:
Oh for goodness sake, he just had a bad day, and Garcia-Lopez had a good day. Why read anymore into it than that?
and
If I was a betting man - and I can think of few things more pointless than betting - I think I might have some cash on Andy to win Miami ...
Well, he's not quite there yet, but I really do think it's time for me to be given the sort of respect I clearly deserve.

The daft thing is, I don't actually remember much doom and gloom after the IW loss. There usually is, I admit, but we're all becoming inured to it. . .
