Catalina hit a career high of 35 in 2006 but Laura beat her 3 & 3 in Osaka back in 2010, albeit on a different surface.

Castano has hammered both her tough opponents so far so goes in tomorrow as big favourite. Laura seemed to lose her way during that second set, either Coin got her tactics spot on or Laura just started to feel it after playing 5 days on the bounce.

Massive effort by Naomi just goes to prove that red clay now has quickened up so much that even fast court specialists now can play on the surface.
