RE: Entries Week 37 - 10/09/2012

It doesn't seem very long ago that we didn't have any players attempting Challengers. There was Andy, and then there were a host of Futures players.

Together with a promising lot of juniors, things are looking a bit brighter these days.

We could well have the top seed in 4 futures events this week. Bloomers, Boggo, Milts and Fitzy are all top of their acceptance lists.

 Must be a first........I'd certainly take 4 x 18pts for them!

I vaguely remember another week in the last year or two when 4 Brits were no. 1 seeds in the same week and it all went horribly wrong, though I may be thinking of the GB women there (certainly they have had a shocking number of R1 defeats when seeded 1 this year) but when three Brits were top seeded in Futures in the same week a few months ago (week 16 this year), they all won their tournaments - James Ward in Kaohsiung, Jamie Baker in Córdoba and Josh Goodall in Heraklion.

Another injury for Wardy?

Whatever caused him to retire last week has caused him to miss Ningboo this week :(

According to his tweet, it was his wrist again.
