ATP draw sheet says he retired because of "cramping". I take that with a pinch of salt because I find it hard to believe that a good hard working pro like Jamie suddenly started cramping in a bog standard 3 set match.

I'm no sort of expert, but I think cramping in a tennis player could arise for other reasons than just related to fitness and maybe connected to such as some minor illness or dehydration.
Anyway I do get the impression that there is no major injury issue here. Here's hoping anyway.

Dehydration can be a big factor in cramping but for a player to become dehydrated during a run of the mill 2 hour match would be pretty unprofessional, again not something that I would associate with Jamie.
They very nearly blew it. They led 9-5* in the MTB but lost both points on Dave's serve (which had previously been very reliable). Fortunately at 9-8* Sean hit a crunching return winner. This is the best points haul since Loughborough last year, where they also got 33 points, and obviously they have a decent chance to go further. Their SF opponents have yet to be determined but either way they will have a very winnable match.
Sean tweeted that they won the semi: "We won 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 Another tight one. Feels good to be back in a challenger final. Hopefully can go 1 more tomorrow!"
