Well done on the win today Fitzy. Clearly it's very tough out there but I hope you keep winning and survive the next 2 weeks!

Oops, judging by RJA's post just above mine, I missed it!

But it looks like it will be available to re-listen to at some point within the next 24 hours - I'll post again (and tweet) once it is.

Presumably you put another of shorts on once play restarted though! ;)

Does seem a bit harsh , but good win anyway.

It's a pity it took two nasty things like losing lots of money and only just avoiding an attempted assault for Fitzy to get some coverage but the resulting article at http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/tennis/article3549516.ece is good, with a decent pic. (a pity it doesn't mention who much he has moved up the rankings over the last year or so, though it does manage to report a ranking a few places above his career high wink)

Fitzy - I imagine at least one person you know (probably quite a few people!) will already have got a copy for you, but if you need one sent to you, just pm me and I'll sort it out.

Ah yes, I keep forgetting that's probably the reason for a random ranking being reported.

I just tweeted "I don't think it's a good idea that after the USO, the ATP now bring up the race rankings as a default if you click RANKINGS on their site . I know they flag it but clearly not well enough - so many race positions reported as if they were actual rankings in articles this week"

... and one of the junior coaches tweeted back: "@GBtennis interesting you say that as some of the boys here at the Wrexham BT are complaining about Race rankings being used for seedings." LOL (except it's not actually funny at all)

Sad though that is, it does make me feel better because I fall for it everytime.  At least I am not the only one getting confused.

thanks guy, i have finally read the article and very happy with how it came across. i hope it enlightens people about what futures can be like, pre warns other players and gets the word out about my own situation. they are the reasons i made the article happen.
Im just fighting to hard out here, leaving it all out there.
The shorts business was utterly ridiculous.

on to tomorrow, the guy is a little pocket rocket. talented player, not sure how he went in juniors but im sure he did well. still young-ish now i think.
If i play well and run for england then i can win. Thats what i intend to do. Ill drop my shorts and run to the net if i win the tournament. you have my word.

I would have thought after your experience this week you would be disinclined to drop your shorts wink

PS: I would grateful if someone could PM the article.
