Josh has a very unusual service action. As he serves, both feet, but particularly his right foot, are thrust backwards. Surprised he doesn't end up face down on the floor.

Tom's section of the draw just opened up nicely. Instead of playing the second seed in the QF's he will play an unranked Swedish qualifier.
... except that today's win might be explicable by the 2nd seed being ill or injured buit Ohrvall beat last week's winner Arvidsson in straight sets in R1 as well! Yet he's 26 with a CH of just 1437 6 years ago ...

<my original dismal attempt to list the QFs has been pasted by Jack below with the correct round designations and a missing ranking added, so I've edited it out here>

OK. I have a confession to make. I am watching the stream but have yet to work out which one is which. Instinct tells me Tom is in the blue shirt and white shorts. If I am wrong, watch out for a quick edit of this post !!
Watched the final 6 games. Tom looks like a counter-puncher (not a grinder). He does play attacking shots as well though but didn't see him come to the net once. Backhand looked the stronger shot. All in all looks like a sterotypical challenger/high futures level player.
I don't know if you watched the game today, but he came to the net many times and had a large array of shots.
Played very comfortably in the second set, with an air of calmness that many of the older players seem to have.

Tom Burn wins in 5 & 1
I said a few weeks back that Tom seems very strong temperamentally. He doesn't get worried by set backs or upset over making mistakes, he just gets on with the next point or next game. That emotional maturity (that probably comes from being 27 years old, and having spent years away from the tour) was possibly the difference at the end of the first set when both players were struggling a bit.

His serve is pretty poor all round. I would guess that this thing with his feet thrusting back is an attempt, albeit not a very successful one, to get some extra power into the serve to make up for his lack of upper body strength.
