Third set was a huge struggle for Tom and he looked really tired towards the end but he came through 6-3, 6-7(5), 7-6(4)

One GB finalist guaranteed with Josh still to play for a place in the other SF.

SF: (4) Daniel Smethurst WR 366 v (8) Tom Burn WR 623

That should now in itself take Tom into the top 600 on Monday week, surpassing his "first time around" CH of 611 from 2005.  Also plenty scope to push on much higher, with only 9 counters at the moment and nothing to defend before next July.
