Week 39 - Germany F17 ($10,000) - Hambach (Carpet)

Looks like a really solid first set from Neil. You would of course expect good serving stats on carpet but it frequently doesn't turn out like that.

First set 6-3 to Pauffley. Great set in terms of serving. In the four service games, Pauffley dropped just 1 point!

A third successive break (to 30):  *3-1.  Let's hope he can hang on to his own service this time.

Neil hasn't reached a Futures singles Final since Ilkley 2009, as far as I can tell, so this probably seems like quite a big deal, hence no surprise if he's getting a bit nervous!

Easy peasy ( wink )!  Pauffers reaches the final:

SF:  Neil Pauffley WR 706 defeated (7) Erik Crepaldi (ITA) WR 606 by 3 & 4 (I think:  match disappeared off the screen while my back was turned! ashamed ) biggrin

Great stuff from Neil It was 3 & 4 - the scores stay up on the iPhone app and on the Tennis Ticker site.

This will in fact be only the 2nd Futures singles Final of Neil's career - he lost that one in Ilkley 3 years ago to our old friend Martin Fischer of Austria.

No use to me:  I'm quite content with my bog-standard pay-as-you-go mobile, which I don't even leave turned on all the time, so can think of no reason whatosever to justify indulging in a "fancier Dan" device. wink

Goodness, I thought I was the only one left!

Nice win for Pauffley there.

No, I'm another bog-standard PAYG type as well. There are still pockets of resistance to the all-singing, all-dancing models. . .

I'm stuck in the dark ages too! My daughter can't understand why I don't have my phone on all the time! PAYG and only top it up once in a blue moon!!!
