Odd that Evans and Goodall are not on the list for Nottingham. I would guess that they have both been promised wild cards but still a bit strange for them to be on the entry list.

Well clearly they would't have made the cut (Goodall would have been 41st alt) so what would have been the point?

I would have thought that both would have played qualifying in the absence of a wild card and in such cases players normally put their names down even if they expect a wild card.

I'm pretty sure i saw Dan Evans down on the original entry list, along with the likes of Sean Thornley etc. Not sure about Josh though.

All qualifying entry is done on-site, doesn't matter whether you've entered or not (I'm not sure if that's what you mean). If there was a qualifying entry list obviously they would have put their names down.

Some of the men's points defences are not due off until the following Monday 17/06 :

Baker - 10 from Queens
Goodall - 8 from Nottingham 2 Challenger
Corrie - 8 from Nottingham 2 Challenger
Smethurst - 6 from Slovenia Futures

Just double checked since I have rankings looking 2 to 3 weeks forward and it wasn't tieing in. Seems to be basically as in Steven's stats section.

Are you saying my tables are wrong too and seagull may have got them from there or that your figures agree with mine? (got to dash out now, but if you think mine are wrong, I'll check when I get back)

My figures agree with yours, Steven. You have these ones that I listed coming off on 17/06.

I guess (hope) he is heading back for the grass court season.  If memory serves, he seems to enjoy this part of the year.

Any idea when wildcards will be issued for both tournaments at Nottingham?

At present no Brits in main draw for either event, but i'm guessing if the rain keeps falling in Paris(forecast is poor all week) then the situation may change.

In the ladies - i'm sure Anne and Elena will get WC's which will allow automatically some of our girls to get into qualifying

The men's is much harder to call, but James Ward should be a banker.

Nottingham main draw wild cards go to Baltacha, Keothavong, Konta and Moore.
