So, is Alex Ward coming over to play 1 tournament on grass, then going back to clay in Milan?

Probably not. He is also down for the 3 clay court challengers next week

The problem with Wardy staying to play clay challengers is that he is coming up against clay court specialists who are the missing the grass season out. Catch 22 situation I guess

Nottingham WC's announced for women's 50K

Tara in direct - Elena and Sam given MDWC's

Harriet Dart, Pippa Horn, Lana Rush have WCQ

I wonder if they are holding back more main draw WC's - obviously with Birmingham taking place same week.

I would guess from the Nottingham WC's that Anne K and Joko will be at Birmingham presumably as MD wildcards.

I would suspect very few girls will take up the chance to get QWC's at Birmingham as they are more likely to get qualifying points at Nottingham.

Katy Dunne may take a QWC at Birmingham as she has withdrawn from Nottingham 50K qualifiers.

Mike Dickson is suggesting that Kyle has a WC for Queen's as well.

Pretty happy with that as Kyle has made good progress this year and certainly deserved at least one main draw wild card for a British event.

Yes, I just hope his 3rd set bagelling today doesn't mean he's not 100% though!

But he has just won in the doubles so it can't be too bad.

True. Maybe Zverev was just on fire today.

I'm starting to think that may be the case. He's only just turned 16 so makes even Borna Coric look old, so perhaps his recent Grade A tournament win was a clear sign of just how exceptional he might be. Neil Harman was stunned at the quality of the 16 and 17 year olds on show this morning in one of his (less controversional) tweets
