RE: Week 24 - ITF $50k - Nottingham, UK - Grass

Elena must wait for the rain...

Sam & Jade meanwhile, having not started on the grass, have been moved indoors for their doubles QF, but it's not going too well.
3-6 *0-2

Bally 5-2* up. Playing very well, forehand looking powerful, sliced backhand working effectively!

Elena wins the first set, playing well, with the Czech lady volleying very well but thankfully throwing in a couple of DF, completely out of the blue, just at the wrong moment.

Elena has been good generally; played one poor game at *5-3, serving for the set and was broken, but broke straight back to rectify it.
6-4

Well, Elena said in her interview last night that she thought she was particularly good at playing interrupted matches i.e. at staying focused and energetic even during all the down-time. And didn't she prove to be right . . .

So, let's hope there's a bit of light rain some time tomorrow . . .
