RE: Entries Week 30 - 22/07/2013

She is off to Canada the week after for a $100K so that's probably why.

It may be because she is going to Canada the following week & feels she needs the time to prepare?

I wonder if Kyle would rather like the qualies on this occasion.  I know people think - MD is best every time, but he is coming off a 3 week (?) layoff and hasn't played on clay since RG.

If he were to be seeded 1 or 2 in qualies with points for qualification, the match practice may not do him any harm.  Must be better than direct entry into MD and drawing the Nº1 seed in the first round - someone by the name of Pablo Carreño Busta. Rumour has it he is half decent !!

Weird all this pulling out from Kyle, you'd think they would of planned the schedule out by now

OK.  Looking at the comments in the article and the ATP Challenger list, I am going to go for the following:

Wk 32 - 5th Aug - San Marino Challenger 64k +H

Wk 33 - 12th Aug - Italy F21 (Appiano) 15k+H

Wk 34 - 19th Aug - Italy F22 (Esta) 15k+H

Wk 35 - 26th Aug - Italy Challenger (Como) 30k+H

That would give him one complete week off before DC week.

Alternatively, it could be

Wk 32 - 5th Aug - San Marino Challenger 64k +H

Wk 33 - 12th Aug - Italy Challenger (Cordenons) 45k+H

Wk 34 - 19th Aug - Italy F22 (Esta) 15k+H

Wk 35 - 26th Aug - Italy F23 (Piombino) 15k

Curiouser and curiouser !!

Would Definetly prefer to start with the futures than end with them

I thought exactly the same but he does specifically mention San Marino and this is the only one.

Having said that, when he went to the States, earlier in the year he ended up going Ch, Ch, Fut, Fut and won one of those futures.

That's exactly why I would prefer the other way round, get the matches in then have a crack at the big guns. In the US Kyle played after having a bit of a break and didnt play well at all

I am actually trying to agree with you here but not making a very good job of explaining myself. I also think it would be better the other way around.

To be fair, the initial plan for the USA trip was Fut, Fut, Ch, Ch, but Kyle's somewhat surprise selection for DC in Coventry delayed him for a couple of weeks and forced the change in plans.
