Cetainly Bally is travelling out to the States this week, but I would have thought she would have missed the cutoff for this event, it being a stacked field. Maybe she is heading to a training base for 10 days prior to US open qualies.
Robbo is now actually out, to be fair would have been a shock if she had been fit enough to play.
She was in Genie's box last night watching the Kvitova match and was still wearing that protective contraption on her wrist.
The cutoff for Cinci is always high and certainly Bally unless she was able to use her PR was always going to struggle to make. What I don't understand is that she's aiming for New Haven which is played the same week as US open qualies.
I imagine Bally wants to get some matches under her belt.
Many players have played qualifying for another tournament the same week as Slam qualifying. They can do this since the Slams are designated to the following eeek.
Hopefully she does well enough at New Haven to have a dilemma.
Apparently, Oli was going to play Challenger qualies next week (i.e. the week this thread refers to) but obviously reaching the final in Austria stopped him doing that. He says has managed to wangle a QWC for Karlsruhe Futures qualifying (which starts tomorrow) instead.
