They're getting about a bit this week (week 32) too, despite 28 if them being in a GB Futures main draw! I have counted 12 ATP-ranked men's events (Montréal, 1 Challenger and 10 Futures) with GB representation in singles in the main draw and/or qualifying this week!

Yep, and nice to see that, tomorrow, we've got three guys playing Finals and two playing Semi-finals - and all strung out across the place : Italy, Serbia, UK, Austria and Turkey  smile

(And that's pre-Dan Evans, or Jo or Tara)

According to MTF, Dan has now made the cut:

I'm relieved about this, I imagine he is too....

I hope that table makes sense huntley, I'm afraid I can't get it to post correctly but its from the entry list section. You can't actually have a 30k challenger without hospitality, the lowest prize fund for that is 50k.

Perhaps not as much as they might have - there are 24 Futures on in week 24 - I don't remember ever seeing so many!

A couple of the top Irish players have gone out to Libreville for Gabon F1, which is a *15K* with a cut at the main deadline of WR 1996, with a place in the top 1000 enough to get a seeding! Sadly no Brits though.

Gabon is on the west coast of Africa on the equator, with the wonderfully named president Ali Bongo Ondimba (as some of you might have guessed, he is still treated by a Google search on the first two words of his name as 2nd in importance to the late British magician wink) - not a particularly dangerous place, as far as I know, despite its proximity to the DR of Congo.

Meanwhile, over in Brazil, all 18 DAs and the first 6 players on the qualifying list are Brazilian and you don't find a second non-Brazilian player until you reach the 80th player on the list, i.e. the 36th alternate for qualifying!

If the facilities are anything like this week, it isn't surprising to me that Johnny Foreigner doesn't want to come over here and play !!

Thanks huntley93 - a very interesting article.

James McGee puts his case very clearly and lucidly, I do hope he receives some funding.
