Golding and Ash Hewitt in Slovakia CH qualies, Kyle probably in MD. Excellent.

Brilliant ! And the QD is out with seemingly straightforward first rounds. Will be very interesting . . .

Well he could have just withdrawn from the alts list and be playing qualifying because he doesn't want to fly over to play qualifying and find out he doesn't have a match for a few days because he is in the main draw?

guess that must have been it...

He may also have thought that the qualifying draw wouldn't be that strong and hence that he was likely to get the qualifying points whereas if he drew a top seed in the main draw, he might come away with nothing. It doesn't look like the qualifying is going to that be easy after QR1, but I'm sure he backs himself to qualify after his recent successes.

You know what would be good?

When the thread for each tournament is made, we should link to it from the original post on this thread. Might be a bit too much work though for someone to do every week. Would be cool though...

I link to the (singles) threads from the GB top 25 tables (though it's a bit of a pain to do!) but I'm not sure why, if someone was on the forum anyway, they'd want to detour via this thread rather than go straight to the tournament thread they wanted, when the current week's tournament threads should be near the the top of the recent threads list. Or is the idea to make it a bit easier to find old threads later on?

Either way, if someone can be bothered to do it, it wouldn't be a bad thing I'm just not sure if it's worth the trouble.

So this week we've got, playing singles in Challengers/ATP:

Oli, Ash, Dave, Sean, Alex and Dominic

In the next couple of weeks, we'll also see (presumably):

Kyle, Dan Cox, Dan Evans, James Ward, Ed, Josh Milton, Neil maybe, Boggo maybe, (Klein), who knows who else . .

It all seems pretty good !

Is Kyle not playing this week ?  I was planning to ask him this morning but neither he, Wardy nor Evo where anywhere to be seen.

Yes, i think you're right - at Trnava, I think. I was just writing the names out quickly - sort of more interested in the next few weeks as a whole.

The idea was more a case of if you like to follow a specific player/s you could look where they're playing that week and find the thread more quickly. Like you say, wouldn't be bad, but maybe not worth the hassle
