Both of the Brits' QR1 opponents are decent juniors who have been ranked before so they are likely to be up against it. Eden, however, will face a Czech or Slovak player in the FQR, neither of whom have ever had a WTA ranking.

Emily has to really get to the final anything else is a disappointed. Even a final won't defend her 8 points from a 25k first round win though so win the whole thing please.

Dasha has picked up post of her points in Egypt I think her ranking will fall Also Laura in same category. Eden Silva seems to have stalled as well

Interesting odds here:

They give Emily a more than 95% chance of winning her R1 match - fair enough

Dasha is given a 62.5% chance of winning her match, which suggests that they haven't looked at recent results

Conversely, Laura is given only a 20% chance of winning her match, which suggests that they have looked at recent results - Piran reached the QFs from qualifying last week, beating Bruzzone (ranked around 500) in R1

Laura broke Piran's serve 3 times in the 1st set ... and still lost it The Italian broke 5 times and got the only hold of serve in the set to win it 6-3.
