I seem to recall that the impression was that Hev started out last year looking to play more aggresively, but of course she ran into her Glandular Fever problem.
I notice that after beating JoKo in the FQR, Dellacqua has gone on to reach the 4th round.
In a similar vein, I was interested to see how Aga Rad performed in her next match, against Annika Beck., as a way of crudely benchmarking Hev, and especially because Annika and Heather have broadly similar games.
Well, Heather did considerably better than the WR48 German. Aga seemed to play about the same level, and although quite a few games were close deuce affairs, she managed to exact a double bagel on Annika.
Whether or not this suggests that Hev is playing 'Top 50 tennis' at the moment is debatable (though I think she's at least close to that), but I found the comparison very satisfying in itself.
Yes, I'd noticed the Aga vs Anika scoreline ! ( though it's possibly an awful match for Anika, who largely lacks the real weapons to trouble Aga ).
Re Hev, I would say that she can't be far off ( if at all ) top 50 level. Her Acapulco retirement aside, she has won all the other 17 matches she's played this year against players outside the top 50, including 5 top 100 players ( all grouped from WR 80 to WR 99 ).
She is 2 wins ( WRs 26 & 38 in the Fed Cup ) and 4 losses ( WRs 3, 23, 33 and 48 ) against top 50 players.
..and looks for now to be getting better and better.
Hev seems to have 'lost' the 30 qualiftying points she earned to gain admittance to the main draw of Indian Wells. Joko has her 20 qualifying points and Hev only has her 65 main draw points.

Hev only got 35 main draw points for reaching R2, so the 65 does include the 30 qualifying points. She would have had to make R3 to get 65 main draw points or reached R2 at a Premier Mandatory with only 64 or 48 in the draw.

She's certainly seems to have a good network of contacts. She's done several matches this week for them, including the Halep/Radwanska semi-final.
I think Gershwin wrote a song about all that!
Incidentally, Halep only got as many games off Aga as Hev managed.
