A bit more strenuous in the second set, but Manisha wins 6-0 6-3

A decent R1 draw and I'm sure Manisha can pick up another point at the very least .

Still one more qualifying round to go, unfortunately, but hopefully you'll turn out to be right about her picking up at least one more point

I suspect Manisha's game is more suited to clay. Let's hope for a decent draw assuming she gets through quails.

I think you're right about the clay.  But Manon is no slouch (assuming it's Manon who gets through, she definitely should). She's got a decent game. It'll be an interesting FQR.

Manisha was 5-0 up when the score disappeared from live scores.

Either Manisha is playing exceptionally well or Manon had a problem... That's not a scoreline i would expect with players fairly closely ranked.

OK, so now she has a chance at that point!

I err towards Manisha playing well, I think she's got plenty more in her, and seems amongst the hardest workers, most intent of listeners to advice and fastest learners we have.

paulisi did suggest that Manisha's game was rather suited to clay :)

Very good result. I'd thought it was going to be a lot closer. Really pleased for Manisha ::))
