Yes big win for Liam, playing his best tennis probably since Edinburgh in the spring, building a bit of momentum moving into the final and for future tournaments.
He had that post prepared hours ago and wasn't sure of the 2nd set score, so he was just playing the percentages.
Edit
So Steven has corrected his post and now nobody has a clue what I am talking about. Mind you, it is probably quite normal for people not to have a clue what I am talking about, so nothing new there then.
LOL it did indeed say "5 & %" originally but I noticed immediately after posting it, corrected it and didn't see Huntley's post when I had reposted the correction, so I guess that must have been being written at the same time and must have appeared a few seconds later.
I quite like the theory that % represents an unknown score but no, it's just what you get when you shift-7 to get the & then hit the 5 key a split-second before taking your finger off the shift key instead of a split second afterwards. I think "%" is shift-5 on a Spanish keyboard too, so even if Bob has to use a Spanish keyboard in Spain, hopefully he'll believe me!

Indeed, and "spoiler" posters should be, should be...( I'm not quite sure of the appropriate punishment for this heinous crime ). Do a new post for later match info, don't add.
The more important the match, the worse the crime, so just saying before the US Open MD gets under way...
In the 2nd set, Liam lost just 3 points in his first 3 service games whereas Mott was taken to deuce in 2 of his, but Liam's 4th service game in the set has just gone to deuce ... he holds though, without facing a bp. 6-3 4-3*

Congratulations to Liam on his 3rd Futures singles title - his 1st at 15K level and his 1st outside the UK It should take him to the edge of the top 300, possibly even inside - 149 points is enough for 299 in tomorrow's already-published list but plenty can change in 2 weeks.
