There are so many of our top (or nearly top) players taking part - and the prize pot for the final places is so much bigger than a 10k Futures - that it seems (to me) that this should have its own thread even though there's a general B Tour one (hope others agree):
The anticipated interesting matches came good, with a win for Josh S against Carpenter in three, and George edging Joe in three sets. David Fox beating Tom F is a great result for him (unless Tom is still injured).
In R2 (L16):
Isaac Stoute d. Jamie Praditngam 6-2 6-3
Neil Pauffley [2/545] d. Andrew Bettles 6-3 6-3
Richard Bloomfield [8/1036] d. Nicholas Jones 6-1 6-2
James Marsalek [6/756] d. Adam Skalsky 6-4 6-4
Marcus Willis [1/363] d. Mason Recci 6-2 6-1
Joshua Sapwell d. Jack Carpenter [5/752] 4-6 7-5 6-2
George Coupland [3/591] d. Joe Salisbury 6-4 3-6 6-3
David Fox d. Tom Farquharson [4/675] 3-6 6-2 6-1
In the Quarters:
Marcus v Bloomers
Fox v james M
Sapwell v George C
neil v isaac
Josh Sapwell follows up a super win yesterday v Jack Carpenter, with another excellent win against George Coupland. And, in three sets, Isaac Stoute comes within a whisker of beating Neil Pauffley.
In the QFs:
Marcus Willis [1/363] def. Richard Bloomfield [8/1036] 7-5 6-2
James Marsalek [6/756] def. David Fox 6-3 6-0
Joshua Sapwell def. George Coupland [3/591] 6-2 6-4
Neil Pauffley [2/545] def. Isaac Stoute 3-6 6-4 6-4
In the semis, as above, Marcus v James and Josh v Neil

So that's 3 out of 3 for James today - and 3 finals tomorrow !
Poor lad will be shattered.
In fact, I should have said four out of four because, obviously, he had all FOUR matches to play. . . .
Tara was the same, though, and posted understandably 'grinder' sort of tweets . . . but, of course, they'd all rather have extra matches because it means they've won And at least both had four 'easy' matches - still not convinced re the scheduling though.
