So, an all-Brit final in the doubles of a 15K + H.....

That's OK :)

Have not had a  lot to smile about for a while so be great to lift doubles title & start to gain points .

It will also be an opportunity to see where we are at compared with our previous peak at Bournemouth nearly 6 months ago

Are you still sponsoring both players?

just a question:

in a 15k+H, the main draw players get free board as long as they're still in the draw, yes ? SO, until they lose ?

Does this apply also to doubles players ? I'm sort of assuming it does but . . .

i.e. have Marcus, Dave and Lewis had free board all week coz of the doubles ? Or did it stop when they lost their first round singles ?

I assume it applies to anyone who is in the main draw.

So if you were in the main draw of the doubles but not playing the singles you'd get free board then ?

In which case, obviously the guys knocked out of singles but still in doubles would too . . .

yep both singles and doubles players are eligible for b&b accommodation until the day after they get knocked out

if just entering the doubles, unless you win the thing, the accommodation would be more valuable than the prize money - losing doubles finalists take home c.£160 each.

From the ITF rule book:

To qualify for an additional $5,000 credit toward the total prize money
computer category, a Futures Tournament must provide reasonable minimum
hospitality which is defined as: One (1) bed and breakfast to all Main Draw
singles and doubles players beginning two (2) days before the
commencement of Main Draw until the day following the players
elimination from the tournament. Such minimum shall be approved by the
ITF.

Thanks goldenboy and paulisi - glad to know our doubles lads have been boarded and lodged ! Hope they took doggie bags down to breakfast and stocked up.

Paulisi, I think the numbers are the same. You've got $540 per team for losing finalist which is about £160 per player, as goldenboy says.
