Week 50 - Tunisia F11 ($10,000) - Sousse (Hard)

JWH is FINALLY playing his second round match . . . 3-3

PS Hugo Grenier only turned 18 this year and is a fair way off being one of the best 18 year-olds, although he's not too shabby either obviously. Would definitely hope Josh would get the better of him  . .

And Grenier has retired.

So hope he's OK but well done, Josh, another reasonable couple of wins - probably Giacalone next, if seeding is respected.

That is as far as it went because Grenier then retired. So Josh will be back on court later for his QF, hopefully without having exerted himself too much. His opponent will hopefully be more tired as the match to decide who that will be, has not even started yet.

Giacolone has indeed won his match so will be JWH's opponent later today

Josh was broken in the opening game of the 2nd set, and then promptly broke straight back.

The 2nd set was much closer but Josh does indeed avenge last week's SF defeat

QF: (8) Josh Ward Hibbert WR 753 beat (4) Omar Giacalone (ITA) WR 476 (= CH) by 1 & 5

Great turnaround from last week and stringing some good results together now. Still believe he is an awesome talent waiting to be fulfilled. Is this the moment where he really kicks on ? I really hope so.

SF: (8) Josh Ward Hibbert WR 753 v (6) Nicola Ghedin (ITA) WR 594 (= CH)

Ghedin came through his QF 10-6 in an MTB which they are obviously using to make up the time lost from rain earlier in the week. I wonder if they will do the same tomorrow in the semis and final.
