Just to note that Scott Clayton has announced his official retirement.
He was much on this forum, normally for doubles, often with Jonny O from recollection.
Wish him all the best in his new sporting ventures !

Tennis ball OM and professional tennis player, Scott Clayton, is retiring from the world of tennis to lead an exciting new sports initiative in Jersey!
Glowing star He is going to be improving facilities for padel, a racket sport which is gathering momentum.
Another retirement from tennis has been announced today and although it is not a Brit, it is from someone who has had very strong links to GB tennis.
I speak of Freddy Nielsen - need I say more.
I had the pleasure of meeting Freddie when he was playing futures in southern Spain a few years back, proud of winning his body weight in olive oil as was the prize one year for the champion. He was as down to earth and easy going as they come. A real gentleman.
Wishing Freddie all the best for the future, whatever that holds.

out of interest, what does his Wimbledon winning partner Jonny Marray do these days post tennis ?
Coaching last I heard...
Ok, seems like he should be after dinner speaking. Looking back it was such a random win with 5 sets throughout, they could make a really good film out of it !
