And seems to have put a stop on some slightly alarming fall aways of the past, staying with it and as said dealing well with tight situations. Presumably much due to physical and mental development, and should be plenty more to come.
Well I feel sorry for GBJ who was checking Katie's scores but has just opted for 40 winks in preparation for Kyle as flipped on live stream to find he has just killed the second set 6-1 after a closer first 7-6.
That was with a first serve percentage in the 50's and less than his opponent so still plenty of room for improvement. A great message to send out before the semi final.
Pretty good week for British tennis lets hope by Sunday it's a great one!
I only saw about three points, I wondered why he looked so pleased with the win! Having said that I like the scoreline a lot.
He was only getting 62% of his first serves in compared to his opponent who was getting over 70% compounded by winning a smaller proportion, so looking forward to the day everything clicks against a top 30 opponent.
More results like this and he may get the opportunity sooner rather than later.
I watched the whole match . He played well until he served for the first set at 54 then played a sloppy game to lose serve but steadied the ship and played a good tiebreak . Then first game of the second set he was done 0 40 but then he played well to win next 5 points after that the Indian player made quite a lot of unforced errors so kyle only really needed to keep it in the court to win the match.

Nishioka in the semi who just beat desein in an excruciatingly tight final set tie break (8-6). Should be an interesting match (and hopefully on at a Uk friendly time)
