I watched Wardy's match today, Janahi is the worst player I have ever seen play in a professional tournament, he was truly awful and looked like he didn't even want to be there.
The sad reality is that he'd probably beat me 6-0, 6-0 as well.
Won 6-4 7-6. Final qualifying round tomorrow and then potential match v Paes who was watching their match this evening.
I think you may have the wrong person. Paes is playing in Delray Beach right now.
And I think you may be wrong, wolf. Sure, Paes & his regular partner this year, Raven Klaasen, are the second seeds in Delray & currently involved a SF match there, but they're also in the draw here, as per my earlier post:
QR1: (q1) Jamie Murray & John Peers CR 73 (36+37) vs Mahesh Bhupathi & Mikhail Youzhny (IND/RUS) CR 548 (430+118)
If the boys make it through to the main draw, they'll face Klaasen & Paes in the first round.
There's still time for them to finish their semi &, if they win it, play the Bryans in the final & then fly out to the Gulf, surely...?
Unfortunately, from a British perspective, the right man probably won the set. Following on live scores, Copil was threatening in at least 3 of Ward's service games whilst Ward only got close once (the game he broke). Ward only served at 42% 1st serves in that set and also threw in 5 DFs. Hope he can turn it around in the 2nd set.
