It's not a surprise to me. Forget about ranking (a reminder that it's junior ranking , which usually doesn't mean much). It's all about the game and Freya has the game to beat any of them when it all comes good.

Keep going Freya.

Perhaps a little mis-representative, so:

women's world ranking 772 vs 452

Or perhaps not......smile

Marketa hasn't played much on main tour - she is still 16. She has won a 15k, a 10K and was runner up in Egypt

Freya has yet to win a tournament on main tour- a semi final in China was her best result

Freya broke back and then had at least two match points at 6-5, but the Czech held. Tie break time.

This is when big serve comes in handy.

Miss V won 5 points in a row, 3 of them MPs.

A real battle now. More to do perhaps with Freya not played that much recently.

No joy for Freya in the third set losing 6-1, but she had at least 5 MP's in set 2.

Emily and partner lost the first set 6-2 in the doubles
