It's Kyles time, realistically to win the tie Andy needs to win all three games he plays.
Evo is in great form but I still think Kyle would beat him. Wardy has done a great job to get us to the semi but was a spectator against the French and his form is such that if picked he is unlikely to contribute.
Kyle has spent the last couple of years preparing for this, time to cut the cord and let him have a crack with fantastic support, he will feel pressure but as a realist I don't see there is any, a win will only lighten Andys load I don't think it will impact the outcome. But there again I thought Anderson was Andys rabbit.
We certainly want Andy winning his two singles matches. With two in form US Open doubles semi finalists, as discussed keeping Andy fresh for his second singles has to be an option and a consideration.
Re Kyle, however much he has been preparing for this day, the only guy whose time this will be for the second singles slot is the guy that Leon judges most likely to win. And I am sure that that will be how he is looking at it, a real chance of a win rather than just a bonus.
If Leon judges that player to be Kyle, as there is I imagine a very good chance that he will, fair enough.

Yes, as I have mentioned more than once ( as I sometimes do ) I find the omission of John Peers very strange. That he doesn't seem to have been even in the equation, stranger still.
I can't see Andy Murray losing either of his singles and conversely, I don't think whichever Aussie is picked, is going to be losing to GB's second string player whoever that may be. So the tie probably, will come down to the doubles. Can you see Hewitt plus one other beating the Murrays or Inglot and J Murray? I can't. Peers on the other hand is a highly ranked doubles player. Probably comes down to politics and this being Hewitt's D.C swansong.
But there are all kinds of strange things. I still think that James Ward may have done his greatest service to the GB team this year not just in beating Isner, but in frightening the French enough that they decided to bring three singles players (arguably four) instead of putting Mahut and Herbert in as a doubles team. They clearly felt that they needed someone who could come in fresh for the 5th and be certain to win ... and if they hadn't been afraid of what Ward might do, I don't think they would have done that. Imagine a different scenario where they assume they'll lose the two Murray matches, win the two matches against the second singles player, and can throw everything into the doubles, so call in the specialist team. Messrs Murray and Murray might have beaten Mahut and Herbert ... but they might well not. And life might have been quite different.
I think Evo on form is still better than any of the rest. Not convinced With Edmund yet that he's Grand Slam quality yet whereas Evo can compete with top 50 players when he's on it.
Speculation that Evo has withdrawn from Turkey to leg it up to Glasgow ?????
Notts tennis are tweeting that Liam is having a training week with them this week which would imply that he's not part of the hitting squad. (Unless he's got a few says at Notts and then is going up?). The 'leftie' swing argument, that was so useful for Donald Young, though, doesn't really apply against Australia.
At least Mr Smith has choices. Pity Kenneth Carlsen, Denmark's captain. Spain - which had plummeted to the 1st Division playoffs because of all the various issues in its ranks - is sending a team of Nadal, Ferrer, Bautista-Agut and Verdasco to Denmark ... which has three ranked players and one with no ranking to go up against them. One of those ranked players, by the way, is Mr Hess-Olesen, Mr Glasspool's erstwhile partner.
This is exactly the scenario that was mentioned in relation to Dan. I hope it's nothing too serious for Kyle, but if he's anything less than 100% he shouldn't be risked. We await further / official news
