RE: Week 41 - Greece F7 ($10,000) - Heraklion (Hard)

The stats have suddenly updated, more than halfway through the set - most bizarre.

All very close.

Lloyd serving well, but practically no serve and volley (very pleased, was expecting far more, aka Joe). Very few volleys in total, in fact, but really nice ground shots.

But Jankovic is a good player too.....

And Lloyd plays a wonderful point to take the first set, 6-4

NB I know him and Dan Evans come from the same neck of the woods, and are mates.

Does anyone else think they look alike?

Lloyd is taller, and blonder, but their faces and features look very similar to me.

Thought something very similar when Lloyd turned around to celebrate winning the set, alike indeed.

Our honourary 'Dan' !!!

Brilliant match.

Notch him up, bob, it won't be long......

(And well done to Soto, too - so good to have him and JWH together, as a team. And I love the way Soto have included Toby in their group, who's nothing to do with Soto, as such, I believe).

An astonishing week for Lloyd really - winning his first singles title, defeating the 5th, 4th, 2nd & 1st seeds on the way (almost as hard a route to the title as you could possibly get), including his two best ranking scalps to date ... and winning the doubles title too!

On Monday week, he should rise well over 100 places into the 670s, missing out the 700s altogether, and no points to defend for about 9 months!

Great news to wake up to here in Brazil. Had a feeling Lloyd was going to pull this one off but didn't want to jinx him by going public.

It really has been a great week for him all round. That climb up the rankings is gathering momentum.

Well done Lloyd.

There's strange things happening with the British men. I reckon Bob has made a special deal with the tennis devils to transfer talent from our top 500 men to those outside the top 500.

But still really well done to those guys for making such use of their enhanced powers
