As I have said before, this kid can play a bit. Top 500 candidate, but not in the short term. Looking perhaps 18 months away although of course anything can happen over that time period.
The battle of the Brits is underway. Bambo was a break down, but it is now 5-5.
With Rich now in the top 500 provisionally, i'm sure Bob will be cheering on Bambo
Unless Rich picks up good points over the next couple of weeks, his stay in that Top 500 is going to be a short one. He has 5 points to come off in Nov and a further 12 in December, all slightly offset by a plentiful supply of 1 point non counters. Another title here this week would see Rich guarantee the top 500 at the end of the season, so not unhappy that Rich has won this one.
Having said all that, I am a big Bambo fan, so maybe would have preferred him to sneak it.
But well played Rich. Sounds like a couple of real ding-dong sets.

Great work Joel.
Yes. Only saw him the once this year, in juniors, and he had to stop at the beginning of the second because he was injured so probably not the best match to see.
But he certainly didn't look injured in the first set, and has very nice technique, timing and athleticism. As you say, the 'kid can play a bit'.
Good luck to him. Will be an interesting year next year.
