Shame for James but not altogether unexpected, a fair old step up in opponent today. I didn't see any of the match but in the 1st set (based purely on scores) James really struggled to get anywhere against serve (making his brief resistance in the TB all the more surprising). Still, a positive couple of weeks out in India, a good heap of points in the bag and a step back in the right direction
Well, still a good week for Dino - he got to the semis (where the sensible points start) and lost to the no.1 seed who was on his own patch. Not playing tomorrow will give him an extra day's preparation on the dirt of south America. I think he is getting his mojo back!
Any news on that YouTube link Jaffa? Nice for James too that they seem to have played rounds a day earlier than most tournaments plus the time difference being well ahead of Ecuador so he has much longer to adjust than if the tournaments were the other way round. I wonder if that was a deliberate factor in his choice of tournament schedule.
