QF:  (3) Brydan Klein & Dane Propoggia (AUS) CR 459 (191+268) defeated (WC) Jake Eames & Christopher O'Connell (AUS/AUS) CR 1669 (904+765) by 3 & 4

They will face either the Aussie WCs, Fancutt & Polkinghorne (CR 2358), who put out the top seeds in three sets in the first round, or Jasika & Mousley (CR 912) in the semis.

No.  I fear it was my ageing memory playing tricks on me:  Klein & Propoggia beat Mitchell & Thompson in the first round of the doubles!    I've never been much of morning person... wink

Brydan had to work hard to hold in second game of 2nd set, saving at least 3 break points, but thereafter he coasted through, always in charge and wins 6-1 6-2

Brydan has put in plenty of graft, had some decent results this year and seems to have managed to keep his competitive instincts near to but the right side of the curve. I would love to see him rewarded with a challenger tittle and then push onto threatening the top 100 next year.
