Great news for Dom. This partnership really seems to have some mileage in it. I really hope this is a permanent thing and they play a full season together next year.
Congrats to Dom on making his first ATP Masters 1000 semi-final (previous best: QFs at Indian Wells in 2014/15, though of course he has made a semi at a slam)

I still think, like others have said, they should have 32 pairs minimum in doubles master's, protecting the not quite top doubles specialists more for gaining entry.
Clearly any exclusions now won't really effect the race where it matters ( though still denying some entry to the a big event in itself ), but there was one particular 24 pair field earlier in the year with a plethora of 'singles' players.
