A chance for Dom the Bomb and Robert to avenge Peers & Murray's defeat yesterday then. Come on Anglo-Swedes, you can do it

And they do avenge it:

QF:  Dom Inglot & Robert Lindstedt (SWE) CR 51 (27+24) defeated Raven Klaasen & Rajeev Ram (RSA/USA) CR 59 (19+40) by 7-6(4) 6-3  biggrin

The Bryans or Pospisil & Sock in the semi.

Great news for Dom. This partnership really seems to have some mileage in it. I really hope this is a permanent thing and they play a full season together next year.

Congrats to Dom on making his first ATP Masters 1000 semi-final (previous best: QFs at Indian Wells in 2014/15, though of course he has made a semi at a slam)

Pospisil & Sock are making a late WTF bid, having beaten the Bryans in the QF.

They look as if they will go 8th if they win the Paris title and Bopanna & Mergea fail to reach the final.

Bopanna and Mergea lost, so I believe if Pospisock win tomorrow that'll be them there.

Oh, the irony.

Wonder if Dom can persuade Bobby to issue a walkover for that one biggrin

Competitive first set, disappointing second.  cry

A hilarious account of the completely bewildering world of doubles sign-in - luckily Andy seemed to have seen the funny side

Just checking the rankings, and with both the Bryans and Roger & Tecau exiting at the QF stage, iff Jamie & John had won the title here :

1) They would have gone to number 1 race pair, essentially won the race to the O2

2) They would have gone to WR 2 ( Jamie ) and WR 3 ( John ), behind Marcelo Melo.

As it is, scoring 0, they will drop 1 to number 4 pair and remain WRs 7 and 8.

Chaos indeed

I still think, like others have said, they should have 32 pairs minimum in doubles master's, protecting the not quite top doubles specialists more for gaining entry.

Clearly any exclusions now won't really effect the race where it matters ( though still denying some entry to the a big event in itself ), but there was one particular 24 pair field earlier in the year with a plethora of 'singles' players.
