Week 44 - Challenger ($50,000) - Canberra Tennis International, Canberra, Australia (hard)

L32:  (PR) Greg Jones (AUS) WR 904 (CH = 179 in April 2010) vs (4) Brydan Klein WR 188

The seeds have all dropped a place this coming week, as The Milkman's back Down Under to grab the top spot.  Brydan (& Thompson) are in his half of the draw. hmm

Sounds like Brydan had a ding dong battle with Thompson this week it would be good to see him play to his seeding and get a second crack this week.

Brydan leads the H2H 6-2 but they haven't met since 2011. Jones hasn't won a match in an ATP-ranked event for almost a year  - he has lost his last 10 matches in Futures, Challengers & ATP Qs.

Brydan's actually in the bottom half with seed 2, Matthew Ebden

Curiosity got the better of me given that seeds 1, 3 and 4 all couldn't be in the same half.

So he is!    Believe it or not, I actually checked that two or three times before I posted, but it was on the live draws section of the live scoreboard rather than the PDF.  I guess I didn't scroll across far enough!

R1: (4) Brydan Klein WR 178 beat (PR) Greg Jones (AUS) WR 1168 (CH 179 04/10) 6-3 6-2

R2: (4) Brydan Klein WR 178 vs Matt Reid (AUS) WR 359 (CH 183 02/14)

H-H from 2009 to 2013 7-0 to Brydan though have tended to be pretty close.

Re earlier, ironically (1) The Milkman and (3) Thompson, as well as seed (6), have managed to lose in the L16 in the top half of the draw. Bottom half L16, including Brydan, still to play with all seeds still in place there.
